JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa said that the best way to face and deal with security challenges in the region is through cooperation, one of which is cooperation with Malaysia.

Therefore, when he met with the Commander of the Malaysian Army (ATM) General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Affendi Bin Buang, General Andika Perkasa expressed his desire to establish cooperation with Malaysia.
“This is one of the best opportunities for Indonesia to really start getting closer to Malaysia, the Malaysian Army. That's what I believe," said Andika.
He hopes that Indonesia and Malaysia can plan for cooperation that will last for years to come in order to maintain security stability in Indonesian territory, especially those bordering Malaysia.
On this occasion, the Commander of the Malaysian Army (ATM) General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Affendi Bin Buang welcomed the spirit of cooperation from the TNI Commander.
"I think we (TNI and ATM) have shown how important this (cooperation) is," said General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Affendi Bin Buang.
