JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo encourages office buildings in Central Java to start using alternative energy. As a pioneer, its utilization is applied to office buildings belonging to the Central Java Provincial Government.

Ganjar's statement was made while attending the Amino Ijo Royo-Royo event for the launch of Solar Cell, CNG and Eco-Enzyme at Dr Amino Gondohutomo Hospital, Friday 19 August. Ganjar appreciates RSJD Amino Gondohutomo for daring to make a breakthrough.

"Thank you Amino Hospital for starting to use alternative energy," said Ganjar in his speech.

Ganjar also thanked the Central Java Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), namely PT Jateng Petro Energi (JPEN), which invested by installing a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) at the Amino Gondohutomo Hospital.

“Our BUMD JPEN is also horrified. Because it takes courage with something new to be done immediately,” he said.

Ganjar said the implementation of alternative energy should be encouraged. Because, now there are many equipment to transportation, which use new and renewable energy.

"We have to start immediately so that in the long term, the green energy will actually be able to run more, then the heat of the sun like this (hot), it just goes away," he said.

From this installation, added the governor, RSJD Dr Amino Gondohutomo can minimize the use of electricity during the day. Ganjar imagines that if solar cells are installed in offices, a greener Central Java can soon be realized.

"We will try it with BUMD, we will offer it to other offices in Central Java. Hopefully this transformation will go well, the main thing is that we start first,” said Ganjar.

For information, the amount of energy from PLTS that can be used by RSJD Dr Amino Gondohutomo is 238 kWh. In addition to the RSJD, office buildings belonging to the Central Java Provincial Government that are already using PLTS, namely the ESDM Office, the DPRD Building, and some of the Governor's Office Building.
