Five Police Officers Perform Obstruction Of Justice In Brigadier J's Case, But Haven't Been Suspects Yet

JAKARTA - The special team (timsus) of the National Police said that five members of the Bhayangkara Corps had obstructed the investigation of the premeditated murder case against Brigadier J. However, until now they have not been named as suspects.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said the reason was because investigators were still waiting for the investigators to determine the article to be suspected.

"We are still waiting for investigators to suspect the articles that will be applied," said Dedi to reporters, Friday, August 19.

Moreover, for the current process, the Timsus has only just learned of the involvement of the elements in the Brigadier J case. So, it must first be delegated to the investigators.

"The results of the Timsus will be transferred to investigators," said Dedi.

Originally, the National Police Teamsus stated that there were six members of the Bhayangkara Corps who were strongly suspected of obstructing justice in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier J. They held the rank of Inspector General to Kompol.

"Investigators conducted an in-depth examination, so there were 6 people from the results of the examination who were suspected of having committed a criminal act, namely obstruction of justice, obstructing the investigation," said Irwasum Polri Komjen Agung Budi Maryoto.

The police officers included Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan, Kombes Agus Nurpatria, AKBP Arif Rahman Arifin, Commissioner Baiquni Wibowo, and Commissioner Cuk Putranto.

So, said Agung, the police officers, except for Ferdy Sambo, would be handed over to the Timsus. So, they will be prosecuted criminally.

"We will hand over the five that have been assigned to investigators in the near future, technically, the investigators will explain their suspicions," said Agung.
