JAKARTA - The BrahMos cruise missile is claimed to be carried by smaller ships, but has a capable target range at sea and air.
On the sidelines of the 2022 Army Forum, co-director of the Russia-India joint venture developing this missile, Alexander Maksichev said his side featured a ship carrying eight supersonic missiles.
"We have always said, our missiles are versatile and can be used on small capacity platforms as well. The aircraft in the version presented carries eight missiles," he explained, launching TASS August 18.

The BrahMos missile has ship, air and land versions. The range of this cruise missile was initially 290 km.

The missile can be used against ground-based radio contrast and non-radio contrast targets, Maksichev said.
