Ganjar Reminds Young Generation, Indonesia Was Born With Blood And Lives At Stake

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo conveyed a message related to the moment of the celebration of Indonesia's 77th independence. This message was delivered specifically to young people.

One of the messages that Ganjar conveyed was about the colonialism experienced by the Indonesian people in the past.

“Independence is not just free from colonialism. Freedom does not mean free to do anything," Ganjar wrote, Wednesday, August 17.

"Independence is a big space for us to rise and develop ourselves," he continued.

Not only that, Ganjar also mentioned about the dignity of the Indonesian people.

"How much the pride of this nation and country depends on how hard we all work," he said.

In the ceremony of honor and sacred reflection, Ganjar Pranowo considers it to have a deep meaning. Not just a tribute to the spirit of the hero, there is a message that should be imitated by the younger generation.

“We commemorate this every year, so that the next generation will always remember that this nation was not born and it was not given for granted. There is blood, there are tears, there are lives at stake," said Ganjar.

With that message, the governor hopes that the younger generation will not waste the independence they are currently enjoying. He invites future generations to fill this era of freedom with meaningful activities.

"We have to maintain and fill it. Hopefully, these young people will do better by remembering their services," concluded Ganjar.
