Picked Up By The KPK Since Noon, Former Mayor Of Cimahi Ajay Priatna Is Still Being Investigated

Former Mayor of Cimahi Ajay M. Priatna was brought back to the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He was examined by investigators but has not been informed of the case against him.

JAKARTA - The former Mayor of Cimahi Ajay M. Priatna was again taken to the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He was examined by investigators but has not been informed of the case against him.

"It's true (it was taken to the KPK building, ed)," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Wednesday, August 17.

There is no information on what case ensnared him. Ali said the progress of the case would be announced tomorrow, Thursday, August 18.

"Currently, investigators are still investigating the KPK's Red and White building. Tomorrow we will inform you of the progress," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Bandung Sukamiskin Prison I Elly Yuzar said that Ajay had been released from his sentence. So, he doesn't want to talk more because inmates outside the prison are no longer his responsibility.

"We don't know what happened outside the prison, right. That means, he was released this morning at 10 o'clock and we took him out of prison. It's finished," said Elly.

Previously, it was reported that the Mayor of Cimahi Ajay M Priyatna was sentenced to two years in prison for a bribery case to smooth the licensing of a hospital project.

The verdict was lighter than the demands made by the KPK Public Prosecutor (JPU), namely a 7-year prison sentence.
