IPW Encourages PPATK To Investigate Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's Fund Flow

JAKARTA - Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) has urged the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to investigate the flow of funds from Inspector General Ferdy Sambo to certain parties who allegedly aimed to 'secure' the murder case of Brigadier J.

This statement responded to the alleged bribery attempt by Sambo to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) by giving two brown envelopes.

"PPATK is encouraged to trace the giving of money by Ferdy Sambo to other parties", said IPW Chair, Sugeng Teguh Santoso in his statement, Tuesday, August 16.

According to him, Inspector General Sambo gave two envelopes allegedly containing the money to smooth out the scenario he made regarding Brigadier J's death due to a shootout with Bharada E.

In fact, based on the results of the investigation by the special team formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the fact that happened was that Brigadier J died as a result of premeditated murder.

"The giving of money to LPSK is evidence of a precondition effort to smooth out the engineered story of the assassination of Brigadier Joshua", he said.

On the other hand, Sugeng also denied the news about IPW which was said to have stated that there was a flow of funds from Ferdy Sambo that was received by members of the House of Representatives (DPR).

"In fact, IPW has never talked about the suspicion that the DPR received funding from Ferdy Sambo", said Sugeng.
