The Perpetrator Of The Viral Lexus B 66 FRD Car Shooting In Bali Apparently Tourists Hunting Birds

BADUNG - The Badung Police Team, Bali, arrested the perpetrator who shot and hit a motorbike rider in Ayunan, Abiansemal.

The perpetrator is known to be Firdaus Abby alias Abby (25). The shooter was arrested at a villa in the Kuta area, Badung Regency, Bali, on Sunday, August 14 night.

"The perpetrator used a 4.5-millimeter caliber air rifle. The perpetrator was at the location wanting to shoot birds in the rice fields and harm motorists or other people passing by", said Badung Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Leo Dedy Defretes, at a press conference at the Badung Police Headquarters, Bali, Monday, August 15.

From the results of the interrogation, it was known that the perpetrator was walking while looking at birds in the rice fields. The perpetrator and his uncle drove a Lexus car with the number B 66 FRD.

When he wanted to shoot a bird, the bullet hit the victim who was riding a motorcycle. The victim was injured with a hole in the helmet glass.

The perpetrator came down and asked the victim. But because there were many people, the perpetrator's friend helped the shooting victim's business.

The perpetrator admitted that he gave IDR 650 thousand to the victim through a friend of the perpetrator.

"He opened fire from inside the car the target was a bird in the fields or a stork", he said.

The police chief said the perpetrator came to Bali with his family for a vacation. The perpetrator borrowed an air rifle from his friend to shoot birds in the fields. But the perpetrators are not registered as members of Indonesian Hunting and Shooting Association (Perbakin).

Regarding the fake license plate number, the perpetrator said the real police number was dead.

"Why did he change the number plate? So the original vehicle number has no papers. In fact, this number has been registered with other vehicles in Jakarta. The goal is so that there are no problems on the road", he said.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code regarding persecution, Article 280 Jo 68 paragraph 1 of Law 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation on fake vehicle plates.
