JAKARTA - Yesterday, Polda Metro Jaya requested clarification from DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan regarding the alleged violation of health protocols at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of FPI leader, Muhammad Rizieq Shihab, Najwa Shihab.

Deputy Governor of DKI Ahmad Riza Patria asked the public not to speculate excessively about Anies' alleged involvement in the continuation of the event that caused the crowd.

"The governor has set a good example by being present, not disappointed, and not angry, following all the processes. So, people are expected not to speculate," said Riza at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 18.

Riza believes that all legal processes will run well and smoothly. This is because, according to him, the presence of Anies, the DKI Legal Bureau, the Mayor of Central Jakarta, the Satpol PP, and even the Head of the RT who is asked for clarification must deliver an explanation according to the facts.

"We as citizens are present and provide clarification according to the data and facts as they are, not exaggerated and subtracted," said Riza.

"Hopefully this can provide information as clearly as possible and can be used for future development interests," he continued.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya revealed the reasons behind the examination of witnesses who came from elements of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, including Anies Baswedan.

Director of the General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said investigators were digging up information regarding the definition of quarantine in large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). The DKI Provincial Government is currently implementing a transitional PSBB policy.

Tubagus said that the definition of quarantine in the PSBB policy has various types. Therefore this must be ensured as a legal basis in the investigation process.

"The quarantine has various forms. The question is to government officials. What are the provisions? Is there anything that is not violated in the event? If there is, it means that there has been a crime," said Tubagus.

Meanwhile, after being asked for clarification for 7 hours, Anies admitted that he was hit with 33 questions. Anies said that dozens of questions had been recorded in the Investigation Report (BAP). But he was reluctant to explain in detail the questions raised by the investigating team.

"(The results of the examination) become a 23-page report. Everything has been answered according to the existing facts, not added or lacking," he said.

"Whatever the details of the content, questions, clarifications and so on, let them become part of the Polda to continue and deliver according to needs," explained Anies.
