JAKARTA - The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) will hold the 2022 Child Friendly Broadcasting Award, Saturday, August 13, 2022. This event is expected to encourage parties in the broadcasting industry to produce children's programs that instill a love for Indonesian culture and country.

The event with the title "Proud of Indonesian Love Culture" competed in 13 award categories.

"We want to revive our industry friends to continue to produce children's programs and of course direct Indonesian children to love their culture and their country," said Mimah Susanti, Coordinator of the Central KPI Broadcast Content Monitoring Division, as quoted by Antara.

This awarding event is also a form of appreciation from KPI for broadcasting institutions that are consistent and care about presenting special programs for children that are useful, quality, and healthy.

Meanwhile, the 13 categories contested include Indonesian Animation, Children's Education, Foreign Animation, Variety Show/Reality Show, Feature/Documentary, Indonesian Family, Radio Fairy Tales, and Radio Children's Program.

Next, there are also special awards for broadcasters that consistently broadcast children's programs, the 2022 APRA Best Television award, 2022 Child Friendly Television, 2022 Child Care Radio, and 2022 Indonesian Children's Education Care Television.

Mimah explained that APRA 2022 will form an internal jury team consisting of internal parties from the Central KPI commissioners and external parties from academics, members of Commission I and Commission X of the DPR RI, as well as observers or observers of children and women.

"This judging involves various elements so that those involved will better understand the conditions and reality in broadcasting institutions related to children's shows," he said.

Deputy Chairman of the Central KPI Mulyo Hadi Purnomo said there were four aspects of the assessment that became the basis for selecting children's broadcast programs at the 2022 Child Friendly Broadcasting Award.

First, it must comply with the Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards (P3-SPS) and not be sanctioned by KPI. In addition, the value raised from each program that is broadcast encourages positive things and is in accordance with the psychological development of children.

In addition, the broadcast program is a new production or at least a repackaging of programs that have been broadcast previously.
