Before Being Arrested Outside The DPR RI Building, Pemalang Regent Mukti Agung Had Time To Meet Someone

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed the chronology of the arrest of Pemalang Regent Mukti Agung in a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Thursday, August 11. He is said to have been arrested after leaving the DPR RI building after meeting someone.

KPK chairman Firli Bahuri said that Mukti had met someone at the DPR RI building. This moment occurred after he came to a house in South Jakarta with a package that allegedly contained money from the sale and purchase of his position.

"From the monitoring of the KPK team, MAW as the regent and his entourage went to Jakarta and visited a house in the South Jakarta area with a package that allegedly contained the money he had received," Firli said at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada. , South Jakarta, Friday, August 12.

"After that, MAW came out and headed to the DPR RI building to meet someone," he continued.

After the meeting, the KPK team then arrested Mukti and her entourage. At that time money and other evidence were found. However, Firli did not specify who Mukti met. He only mentioned that his men made arrests outside the DPR RI Building.

"When MAW and his entourage left the DPR RI building, the KPK team immediately secured MAW and his entourage along with money and other evidence," said Firli.

The former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK said that the evidence found was Rp. 136 million in cash; Bank Mandiri savings book in the name of Adi Jumal Widodo containing Rp4 billion; BNI deposit slip in the name of Adi Jumal worth Rp. 680 million; and an ATM card in Adi Jumal's name used by Mukti.

"Along with the arrests in Jakarta, the KPK team also moved to secure several parties from elements of the Pemalang Regency Government environment and carried out security or seals on the workspaces of the Pemalang Regency Government and also the official residence," said Firli.

In this case, Mukti was named a suspect along with five other people. They are the Commissioner of PD Aneka Usaha Adi Jumal Wibowo; Acting Secretary of Pemalang Regency Slamet Masduki; Head of BPBD Sugiyanto; Head of Kominfo Pemalang District Yanuarius Nitbani; and the Head of Public Works of Pemalang Regency, Mohammad Saleh.

The six suspects are now being held in different detention houses. Mukti is detained at the KPK Rutan in the Red and White Building and Adi occupies the KPK Detention Center in Lot C1.

Meanwhile, three other people were detained at the KPK Detention Center at Pomdam Jaya Guntur. The detention was carried out for the first 20 days until August 31.

The KPK revealed that Mukti set a tariff of between Rp. 60 million and Rp. 350 million. This is adjusted to the position that the candidate wants to occupy.

The money received by Mukti through Adi is thought to have reached Rp4 billion. Furthermore, the money is used for personal purposes.

In addition, Mukti is also suspected of receiving money from the private sector. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the total receipts reached Rp. 2.1 billion.
