Confession Of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo In Front Of Komnas HAM Officials In A Closed Room

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) Ahmad Taufan Damanik said the former Head of the National Police's Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, was responsible and pleaded guilty to his actions. Sambo also apologized to the public for the engineering he made.

"Once again, he finally admits that he is the most responsible for this incident," said Taufan at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, Friday, August 12.

Inspector General Ferdy Sambo admitted his actions after being questioned by Komnas HAM in a closed room.

"It was conveyed to the three of us earlier in a closed room," said the chairman of Komnas HAM, Ahmad Taufan Damanik.

In total there were three people from Komnas HAM who examined Ferdy Sambo. They are Ahmad Taufan Damanik as the Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Choirul Anam and Beka Ulung Hapsara as the commissioner.

"First is FS's confession that he is the main actor of this incident," continued Taufan.

Sambo, to Komnas HAM, also admitted that from the start he was the one who carried out the engineering steps. So, what was built from the start of this case was a shootout.

"Secondly, he admitted that from the start he was the one who took steps to manipulate, change, and disinformation several things so that in the early stages the construction of shooting events was built," he said.

Previously, Komnas HAM scheduled an examination of two suspects in the death of Brigadier J, namely the former Head of the Propam Police Division Inspector General Ferdy Sambo and Bharada E at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters, Kelapa Dia, Depok, today, Friday, August 12, afternoon.
