Observer Ridwan Kamil's Questions That Police Have Not Clarified About Rizieq Shihab's Crowd

JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan has fulfilled the summons of the Polda Metro Jaya. Anies was asked for information regarding the alleged violation of health protocol at the wedding ceremony for the daughter of the High Priest of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab, Najwa Shihab.

Selian Rizieq also attended an activity in Puncak, West Java. This activity was considered to have violated the health protocol. However, until now, only Anies has been clarified by the police. Meanwhile, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil has not been questioned by the police.

Responding to this, political observer from Al-Azhar University, Suparji Ahmad considered that Ridwan Kamil should also be examined the same as Anies. This is to prevent the emergence of prejudice in the community due to violations of health protocols, which also occurred in West Java.

"That should be the case (the police summoned Ridwan Kamil, red) if there is indeed a crowd that is part of the responsibility of the regional head. In areas where there are crowds, the regional heads should be summoned," said Suparji when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, November 17.

He emphasized that there should be no discrimination between one region and another in this case.

In addition, Suparji emphasized that even though he appreciated the investigation of cases of violation of health protocols in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic, he still reminded law enforcement in this case must run independently, partially, objectively, and neutral.

"It should not be subjective in seeing who did what but if the action was wrong, yes, wrong," he said.

Furthermore, he considered that the examination of Anies was actually a bit odd in the case of violation of this health protocol.

"Yes, I think the person in charge of the local area should be summoned," he said.

"For example, like the police there is a police station and a police station. Then a sub-district head. So we don't say the governor. There's a mayor, but if this is directly Anies. I don't know why," he added.

Previously reported, this examination was based on a summons for clarification issued by the Head of Sub-Directorate for Security and Crime of the Metro Jaya Police, AKBP Raindra Ramadhan Syah.

The call for clarification against Anies Basewedan was also based on an information report with the number LI / 279 / XI / 2020 / PMJ / Ditreskrimum and an investigation warrant number SP / Lidik / 5409 / XI / 2020 / Ditreskrimum.

In the summons, Anies was asked to be present at Polda Metro Jaya on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 10.00 WIB in the Unit V Room, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya Subditkamneg.

"An invitation for clarification to Anies Baswedan, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province has taken sides in the suspicion of a criminal offense by disobeying and obstructing the implementation of health quarantine that occurred on Saturday, November 14 at Jalan Paksi Petamburan III Tanah Abang," wrote the Head of Sub-Directorate of Security and Security for the Directorate of Criminal and Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro. Jaya, AKBP Raindra Ramadhan Syah in a letter received by VOI, Monday, November 16.

This clarification agenda is related to alleged violations of Article 93 in conjunction with Article 9 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine and / or Article 216 of the Criminal Code.

Furthermore, the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said that in relation to this case, his party divided it into three elements in a series of examinations of cases of suspected violation of health protocols at Rizieq Shihab's daughter's wedding ceremony. The three elements include elements of the government, the organizing committee, and invited guests.

"We have 3 elements here. First from the local government, then the organizing committee, and later there will be guest witnesses present which we will clarify," said Yusri.

In the first examination, parties from the government elements were examined. There were 10 witnesses whose plans were to be clarified but one of them was constrained by the reactive antigen swab test results.

Meanwhile, the Director of General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat, said that the witnesses from the organizers and invited guests would be examined tomorrow. The investigation team has prepared several special days for witness examination.

"We are allocating it for two days. For today (examination) of government officials," he said.
