Sending A Letter To Jokowi, Families Request That The House At The Scene Of The Murder Of Mother And Child In Subang In 2021 Can Be Occupied Again

BANDUNG - The families of victims of the murder of mother and child in Jalancagak Village, Subang Regency, West Java, have delivered an open letter to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) because the mastermind of the case has not been revealed since the incident in 2021.

The victim's husband and father, Yosef Hidayah, said the police had yet to reveal who killed his wife, Tuti Suhartini (55), and their child, Amalia Mustikaratu (23).

"This case should not be dismissed, this must still be revealed," said Yosef in Bandung City, West Java, quoted from Antara, Friday, August 12.

The open letter was addressed directly to President Joko Widodo, with copies to the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD, Kompolnas, and the National Police. In the letter, Yosef conveyed three points of application.

First, Yosef asked for legal protection and justice for the victims.

Second, he asked the police to immediately reveal the perpetrators of the murder of his wife and child, because the tragedy of the murder has passed almost a year since August 18, 2021.

Third, Yosef also wants the house where the crime occurred (TKP) can be re-inhabited. The reason is, since the tragedy of the murder in 2021, the house has been lined with police and cannot be accessed.

"Our house has become abandoned and neglected. For me, there is no certainty when we can live in our house again," he said.

Meanwhile, Yosef's lawyer, Rohman Hidayat, said that his client had been questioned by the police 17 times. However, until now it is still waiting for legal certainty in the case.

In addition, Rohman also asked for a promise from the police, because according to him the police always stated that there had been a bright spot in the case, but it had not been revealed.

"What is clear is that what we have read in the news from the past until now is only a bright spot. Until now, it has been a year less than a week, only a bright spot," said Rohman.
