JAKARTA - The head of the PDIP faction at the DPRD DKI, Gembong Warsono, admitted that his party had not yet thought about the DPRD's proposed interpellation rights to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, as was done by PSI.
PSI became the party that initiated the proposed interpellation right because Anies was judged to have allowed a crowd of events organized by FPI leader Muhammad Rizieq Shihab.
The PDIP faction, said Gembong, still wants to focus on discussing the planning of the Jakarta regional budget (APBD) for the 2021 budget year.
"I just heard that someone wants the right of interpellation. PDIP has not discussed that matter. We are still focused on discussing the 2021 APBD. So, we have not yet reached that stage," said Gembong when contacted, Tuesday, November 17.
Gembong said, the proposed interpellation right was a political stance of PSI. However, PDIP is still setting aside a political stance to focus on overseeing regional budgeting.
Currently, the DPRD has begun discussing the General Policy on the Budget and the Temporary Budget Priority Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) for the 2021 APBD. Gembong targets this discussion to be completed by next week. After that, the discussion was continued with the draft APBD (RAPBD).
"Hopefully the KUA-PPAS will be completed this week. We have discussed the RAPBD on Sunday. We are targeting it, at the latest in December it will finish (legalized)," said Gembong.

Member of the PSI faction, Anggara Wacitra Sastroamidjojo, assessed that this was necessary because Anies was considered to have neglected the event held by Rizieq and recently caused the spotlight because of the crowd without strict health protocols.
He assessed that Anies should have known that the wedding ceremony for Rizieq's son, Najwa Shihab, as well as the Prophet's birthday, which was held on Saturday night, November 14, would create a crowd that could lead to the transmission of the virus. However, he seemed to ignore it.
"The governor has no intention of enforcing the rules he made himself. Therefore, the governor's actions can be categorized as endangering the lives of thousands of Jakarta residents," said Anggara.
