After Citayam Fashion Week Began To Fade, Deputy Walkot Imam Budi Even Just Wanted To Build Depok Open Space

JAKARTA - The Depok City Government has prepared a forum for young people to express and be creative with the name Depok Open Space.

"Later on, it will be built right in front of the Depok City Government Office, a Depok Open Space will be created," said Deputy Mayor of Depok Imam Budi Hartono in Depok, Wednesday, August 10, quoted from Antara.

According to him, his party is currently preparing a Detail Engineering Design (DED) regarding this matter. Depok Open Space does not use the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), but collaborates with companies in Depok City.

"Depok Open Space is like an open stage for the public, especially those who have the ability in the field of music. Besides that, space is also provided for the youth market," he explained.

He said that recently there was a Citayam Fashion Week phenomenon, so with the presence of the Depok Open Space, young people can express their youth and the place is also near the City Hall to be closer to the citizens.

Meanwhile, Head of the Depok City Regional Research Development Planning and Development Agency Dadang Wihana said that the city government has also provided public squares and 55 parks in urban villages for expression spaces for residents, including teenagers.

"There is Depok City Square and GOR on Jalan Boulevard, GDC which provide complete facilities for residents' activities," said Dadang.

He added that this year the city government will also build a western area square, in Sawangan/Bojongsari District.

"We are planning several public space spots as directed by the Mayor, including for the youth market, and some are for events that accommodate youth activities," he said.
