KENDAL - Police investigated the findings of human skeletons on the banks of the Depok River in Pasigatan Village, Boja District, Kendal Regency, Central Java.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Boja Sector Police, Aiptu Mahzum Syafi'i, confirmed the discovery of human skeletons around the PT Zanzibar plantation.

He explained that the skeleton was first discovered by grass seekers around the Depok River.

"A grass seeker could smell a foul smell before finding the skeleton," he said, as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 8.

The discovery of the human skeleton, he said, was reported to the Semarang Police before being forwarded to the Boja Police.

The body parts found included the skull, spine, and right leg bones.

Mahzum has not been able to further identify the findings of the skeleton.

According to him, the skeleton was then taken to Bhayangkara Hospital Semarang for further identification.
