Throughout January – August, Agam Police Reveals 21 Narcotics Cases

JAKARTA - Agam Resort Police (Polres), West Sumatra, revealed as many as 21 cases of narcotics abuse during January to August 7, 2022. Agam Police Deputy Chief Adrizal Guci said, 21 cases with 24 suspects. 12 cases and nine cases are currently being investigated," said Adrizal, as reported by Antara, August 7. He also mentioned that the areas prone to narcotics trafficking were in the Lubukbasung, Tanjungmutiara, Tanjungraya, and other sub-districts. Therefore, the Narcotics Satres of the Agam Police are always monitoring the network of drug dealers and sources. If the information is correct, the Agam Police Opsnal Team will only move to make arrests.

"The illicit goods generally come from Pakanbaru, Riau. Each sub-district has a narcotics distribution network," he said. Adrizal Guci appealed to the public to report any narcotics trafficking in their area. He also said that his party immediately responded to the report by deploying a team in an effort to prevent the threat of the younger generation from narcotics, "We really need this cooperation because without any reports, we have difficulty uncovering narcotics abuse cases.
