To Be Inaugurated As Daily Chair Of Perindo, TGB Zainul Majdi Shares Vision With Hary Tanoe

JAKARTA - The former Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Tuan Guru Bajang H. Muhammad Zainul Majdi said he had the same vision as the General Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Terindo Party, Hary Tanoesoedibjo.

"When I talk to him (Hary Tanoesoedibjo), we talk about ideas and visions. Indeed, there are some basic things, there are similarities, of course we see that we must take care of diversity because pluralism is our glue as children of the nation," said TGB Muhammad Zainul Majdi when met at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Jakarta was reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 5.

The National Daily Chairperson of the Perindo Party DPP Hary Tanoesoedibjo plans to inaugurate TGB Muhammad Zainul Majdi as daily chairman on Saturday (6/8).

"Secondly, we need to continuously strengthen religious moderation because this means continuing to use religion as our inspiration to build Indonesia," he said.

Zainul Majdi said that he and Hary Tanoe respect the diversity of religious communities that grow in Indonesia.

"Thirdly, political efforts must be stated in the welfare of the community. These are some of the many things I have in common with him, regarding the plurality of religious moderation, and the political work at the estuary is clear, not only frenzied, but there are policies and strategies to present welfare," he explained.

He also acknowledged his planned inauguration as the Daily Chair of Perindo on Saturday (6/8).

"Yes, the plan, God willing, tomorrow afternoon, (as) Chairman of the National Daily for Perindo DPP," he said.

Zainal Majdi has a lot of experience in various political parties. He was a member of the Crescent Star Party Faction in the DPR RI for the 2004–2009 period.

Then he became Governor of NTB for two periods, namely 2008-2013 and 2013-2018. When he was sworn in as governor, Zainul Majdi was the youngest governor, aged 36.

The alumnus of Al-Azhar University in Cairo then joined the Democratic Party in the period 2011-2018. When he won the governor's seat, he was promoted by a coalition of parties, namely the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PDI-P, PPP, PAN, and PKB.

After he was no longer in office, Zainul Majdi had caused a stir because of his statement supporting President Jokowi in the 2019 Presidential Election. His support for President Jokowi was first spread through messaging applications and social media.

After leaving the Democrats, Zainul Majdi later became a cadre of the Golkar Party. The founder of Nahdlatul Wathan (NW) was given the position of Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Golkar Party for Public Affairs. However, he later joined Perindo.
