JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is carrying out traffic engineering on Jalan Galunggung, South Jakarta as a result of the work to lift the Dukuh Atas multipurpose pedestrian bridge (JPM).

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, revealed that the construction of the Dukuh Atas JPM was carried out to connect the Dukuh Atas LRT Station to Sudirman Station.

"The work location on the north side of Jalan Galunggung is above the Ciliwung River," said Syafrin in his statement, Thursday, August 4.

Syafrin said, traffic engineering was carried out in two stages, from July 29 to August 12, 2022.

In the first stage of engineering, at 21.00-16.00 WIB, traffic from the Karet to Manggarai direction to 1 lane was diverted using the south side of the Transjakarta Line and mixed traffic with public transportation.

Then, the traffic from Manggarai to Karet becomes 2 lanes of mix traffic with public transportation.

Furthermore, in the second phase of engineering at 16.00-21.00 WIB, traffic from the Karet to Manggarai direction into 2 lanes was diverted using the south side of the Transjakarta lane and the north side of the Transjakarta lane to be opened and mix traffic with public transportation.

Then, the traffic from Manggarai to Karet becomes 2 lanes of mix traffic with public transportation.

"The types of work in traffic engineering are installation of ramp doors, setting of car cranes, PJK3, onsite and erection girders 1 to 6, unloading cranes, and demob cranes," said Syafrin.

Furthermore, Syafrin revealed that the safety and security of road users is the full responsibility of PT Waskita Beton Precast as the executor of the JPM work on Jalan Galunggung.

"It is appealed to road users to avoid these roads and be able to adjust the traffic arrangements set, obey traffic signs, instructions from officers in the field and prioritize road safety," he added.
