JAKARTA - A group of people suspected of being gangsters are known to be looking for targets again. This time there were three people who became victims, one of whom even died.

One resident who did not want to be named said the incident took place in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Saturday, July 30, in the early hours of the morning.

He estimated as many as 20 people at the time of the bloody incident. Then on average the group was holding a sharp weapon type celurit.

"There are 20 people. Some of them are carrying sickles," he said.

He also suspected that the group was not from his area. Because he didn't know anyone in the group.

"It seems they are from outside, not residents here," he concluded.

Police Follow Up

The police are following up on a group of armed men suspected of being gangsters who attacked three youths on Jalan H. Nawi Raya, South Gandaria, Cilandak, South Jakarta, Saturday, July 30, in the early hours of the morning.

Cilandak Police Chief Kompol Multazam confirmed the incident. Now his party is investigating by examining several witnesses at the scene.

"Five witnesses were examined, local residents, ketoprak builders and security (on site-ed)," said Multazam when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, July 31.

"The victim's friend whose motorbike was missing has also been checked," he continued. On that occasion, Multazam explained that the incident began when the victims passed by the group.

Furthermore, the three victims immediately fled. However, the group chased him until he was finally hacked at the crime scene (TKP).

“So they are not buyers or sellers of ketoprak. They are poor. Run to the ketoprak, be chased," he said.

In that incident, the victim named Bayu Setiaawan died and Aditya Nur Hidayat and M Lutfi were injured.

“One victim on behalf of Bayu Setiawan died. 1 Aditya nur Hidayat suffered minor cuts on his fingers and 1 unit of Honda Beat motorcycle number R-5223-LV and M Lutfi suffered head injuries," he explained.
