JAKARTA - The factory on Rawa Melati Street RT 10/01, Tegal Alur Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta caught fire.

"It's still in the process of being handled," said Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (PKP), Mulat Wijayanto, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 28 evening.

Mulat said that a resident reported the fire incident to the officers at around 21.50 western Indonesia time.

When they arrived at the location, the officers immediately tried to localize the area and put out the fire.

First, the officers deployed 15 pump cars with a strength of 75 personnel. However, the fire was getting bigger so the officers added the fleet to 22 units with 110 personnel.

The fire is getting bigger, presumably because there are a lot of combustible materials in the factory. When asked about the burning object, Mulat could not explain it in detail.

"It's still unknown," he said.

Until now, the process of extinguishing the fire is still ongoing at the site. Residents at the location are also working hand in hand to help officers extinguish the fire.

"Until now the status is still yellow," said Mulat.
