A Total Of 145 Criminals On The Streets Arrested By The Medan Polrestabes Team

MEDAN - Since the beginning of July 2021, the Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested 145 perpetrators of street crimes. All the perpetrators who were arrested came from 105 cases.

Medan Police Chief Kombes Valentino Alfa Tatareda, through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Teuku Fathir Mustafa, said the disclosure consisted of 23 perpetrators and 9 cases of violent theft (curas).

"Then there are 95 perpetrators and 73 cases of theft with weights (Curat). As for the theft of motor vehicles, there are 27 suspects with 23 cases," said Kompol Fathir, Thursday, July 28.

Commissioner Fathir explained that the disclosure of the Curas case dominated in July. This was proven by the arrest of 95 perpetrators.

"For the 145 perpetrators of these crimes are currently languishing in detention cells while waiting for the next legal process," he said.

The high rate of crime on the streets since early June was triggered by several factors. One of them, to meet daily needs.

"There are also those who want to splurge by selling stolen motorbikes and using narcotics," he explained.

He emphasized that the Medan Polrestabes and the Sector Police would continue to hunt down the perpetrators of crimes that disrupted security and order in the city of Medan.
