JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked all parties to be alert and alert regarding the direction of Mount Merapi's eruption which is predicted to be in the Southeast and West.

"There are all the scenarios, so if the direction is to Magelang, Magelang is ready, so yesterday I saw three of them in Klaten, Boyolali, Magelang, all must be ready," said Ganjar in Semarang, reported by Antara, Wednesday, November 11.

Preparedness also includes facing the scenario of hot cloud glide from the eruption of Mount Merapi which is said to be heading to certain areas due to winds.

All components, continued Ganjar, must be ready to use each existing scenario because current predictions may change.

"If the (prediction) direction was yesterday between Yogyakarta and Klaten, Kendal, I only remind you, uh, first, you know. That never fits the scenario, you know, this is Gusti Allah's scenario, so everyone must be alert," he said.

Apart from that, Ganjar confirmed that the readiness of the TNI, Polri, Tagana, PMI and other volunteers must also be supported by the increasing awareness of the residents around Mount Merapi.

"The people actually have been there for so many years, they already understand the character of Merapi. Now we just need to provide more detailed information so that they are all on alert, now the good forces in BPBD are assisted by the police, TNI, Tagana, they are prepared. , "he said.

Meanwhile, related to the development of Mount Merapi itself, it is still on alert status and several areas have started evacuating vulnerable groups.

"Magelang is proactive, like yesterday's vulnerable groups were brought back to Boyolali and started, Klaten is on standby. I just reminded my friends to all organize preparations for shelter and evacuation," he said.
