Witness Admitted Threatened By Brigadier General Prasetijo To Shut Up About Going To Pontianak

JAKARTA - Witness at the trial of the fake passport case, Jhony Andrijanto, said that he had received threats from the defendant, Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo. The threat relates to the use of fake travel documents.

"Threats with statements," said Jhony at the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, November 10.

Jhony said he had twice made threats from Brigadier General Prasetijo. The threat was so that Johny would shut up or not leak their departure to Pontianak to meet Joko Tjandra.

But he did not clearly explain what would happen if he violated the order.

"The point is that Mr. (Brigjen Prasetijo) once said, don't say to talk to Pontianak. 'This is one more time you remember, it's up to you'," he said.

With this threat, Jhony complied with all orders from Brigadier General Prasetijo. Moreover, he has only served for the Police Supervisory Coordinator Bureau (Korwas) for two weeks.

"I'm afraid, Your Majesty. I was new there, I was two weeks there," he said.

During the trial, Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo was said to have ordered his men to burn fake documents of the 2009 Bank Bali cessie convict Joko Soegiarto Tjandra.

The burnt documents included travel documents, COVID-19 free statements, and health certificates. The burning of files was carried out by Jhony at Suryana's house in Bogor, West Java.

After burning it, Jhony documented it and reported it directly to Prasetijo.
