Governor Anies Baswedan Removes William Sabandar From The Position Of President Director Of MRT Jakarta

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan dismissed William Sabandar from the position of President Director of PT MRT Jakarta.

PT MRT Jakarta Corporate Secretary Division Head, Rendi Alhial, said the dismissal was decided at the circular general meeting of shareholders (GMS) of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda).

"Respectfully dismissed William Sabandar as President Director and expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation for his service while serving as President Director", Rendi said in his statement, Friday, July 22.

Then, Anies appointed Mohamad Aprindy as President and Director of PT MRT Jakarta with a term of office by the company's articles of association. Before serving as the new MRT Jakarta president director, Aprindy had experience in several government-owned companies.

Among them are the Director of Corporate Strategy and Human Capital Management of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk. Then, Aprindy's last position was Director of Engineering and Development of PT Jakarta Propertindo and President Commissioner of LRT Jakarta.

"With the existing experience, it is hoped that in the future it can improve the overall performance of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda)", said Rendy.

In addition, Anies also dismissed Zukfikri from the position of Commissioner of PT MRT Jakarta.

Furthermore, Rendy emphasized that the replacement of the President Director had been carried out by the procedures and provisions of the legislation, in which the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as the majority shareholder and Perumda Pasar Jaya as the minority shareholder in PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) had the authority to decide the appointment of directors.
