JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he did not have a problem with Bambang Widjojanto's decision to resign as a member of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) of DKI.

Although currently the position of the Chairperson of the Corruption Prevention Committee in the TGUPP is vacant due to the absence of Bambang Widjojanto, Riza sees that it will not interfere with the performance of the TGUPP because it can be replaced by someone else.

"We are used to being in an organization, if someone resigns from their position, then others will be assisted. That's a normal thing, there is no problem," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, July 20.

Moreover, according to Riza, Bambang's decision to leave the DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan's "whisper" team in making policies is his right.

In addition, Bambang's decision is also considered right by Riza. Bearing in mind that currently Bambang is a team of attorneys who accompanies former Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani Maming in the pretrial hearing of the corruption case.

"That is the right and authority of Mr. BW (Bambang Widjojanto) who resigned from the TGUPP because he wanted to focus more on handling a case. We must take care that there is no conflict of interest there. So, the policy of withdrawing from the TGUPP I think is a policy that it's right," he said.

Previously, Bambang Widjojanto admitted that he had resigned as a member of the DKI Jakarta TGUPP. Bambang admitted that his decision to withdraw from the Anies special team was to avoid conflicts of interest that could potentially arise from the case he was handling.
