Sad! SMPN 15 Rendani Lacks Space For Students To Study

JAKARTA - The State Junior High School 15 Rendani, Manokwari, West Papua, lacks classrooms for teaching and learning activities. "There are only five study rooms in this school. We use one for the office," said Principal of SMPN 15 Rendani Willem Mampangrouw in Manokwari, Wednesday, July 20. The Manokwari Regency Government has actually built three new classrooms which are located not far from the Papua Police Housing West. The construction has been carried out since 2018. "But we haven't used it yet because we don't have a desk and study equipment. We from school are trying to plug in electricity and study equipment," Willem explained about the reason the room had not been used.

He ensures that the placement of the new room will be done after the learning needs have been completed. The plan is to have one level occupying it. "In the meantime, we are still coordinating with the Manokwari Regency Education Office. Hopefully it can be used as soon as possible," he continued, quoted from Antara.

The number of students at SMPN 15 Rendani is 345 people with 13 study groups. There are 17 teachers in this school.

"Regarding teachers, we also plan to coordinate with the education office so that there will be additions or transfers from schools with more teachers," he said. The plan is for face-to-face learning next week. This face-to-face meeting is the first to be run in full after the past two years students study online and face-to-face is limited.
