Rizieq Shihab's Forehead Kiss For The Waiting Family At Petamburan

JAKARTA - The family welcomed Rizieq Shihab when he arrived at his residence on Jalan Petamburan III, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, after being declared free on parole on Wednesday, July 20 morning.

The former leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) organization was granted parole on July 20, 2022, with details on the date of detention 12 December 2020, end expiration June 10, 2023, expiry of probationary period 10 June 2024.

"Alhamdulillah... Arriving at the residence in Petamburan III, Habib Rizieq was greeted by his son, wife and son-in-law," wrote the Twitter account @DPP_LIP quoted in Jakarta, Wednesday.

The official DPP account of the FPI Brotherhood Information Institute uploaded photos of Rizieq Shihab kissing his wife's forehead.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere around Petamburan III has been busy since morning. Rizieq Shihab's sympathizers wearing white robes gathered in the alleys around the location.

At the entrance to the alley of Rizieq's residence, there was a banner that read the prohibition on documenting.

Previously, legal advisor Aziz Yanuar also stated that his client did not hold a special event or lecture agenda after being declared free on Wednesday.

The Public Relations Coordinator of the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjen PAS) of the Ministry of Law Rika Aprianti said Rizieq had been detained since December 12, 2020 with the judge's decision as follows, namely Crime I (health quarantine) was sentenced to prison for 8 months, Crime II (health quarantine) was decided a fine of Rp. 20 million, subsidiary of 5 months in prison (the fine has been paid) and the third crime (broadcasting false news) is sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years.

Rizieq received parole on July 20, 2022 with details on the date of detention 12 December 2020, end expiration June 10, 2023, expiry of probation period 10 June 2024.

Rika said that Rizieq had fulfilled the administrative and substantive requirements to obtain remission and integration rights in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Second Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 3 of 2018 concerning Terms and Procedures. Granting of remission, assimilation, leave to visit family, parole, leave before being released, and conditional leave (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2022 Number 117).

Rizieq was officially released from the Bareskrim Polri detention center at 06.45 WIB.
