Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that Erwinda would actually be questioned as a witness regarding the alleged bribery and gratification that allegedly ensnared Mardani H. Maming.
"Erwinda, the housewife was not present but (she gave, ed) confirmation to the investigative team regarding her absence," said Ali in a written statement, Wednesday, July 20.
In addition, another witness was also absent, namely Nur Fitriani Yoes Rachman. This housewife was absent and no reason was given to investigators.
Just like Erwinda, she was a witness for the alleged bribery and gratification case related to a mining business permit (IUP) in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan.
"Not present and without confirmation of his absence," said Ali.
Mardani was named a suspect after being prevented from going abroad by the Directorate General of Immigration at the request of the KPK. Before being named a suspect, the General Treasurer of the Nahdlaltul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) was also investigated.
