When leaving the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Bahruddin chose to remain silent. He clasped his hands when questioned about his investigation into allegations of bribery and gratification at the Tanah Bumbu Regency Government.

While leaving the building's lobby, Bahruddin continued walking. He clasped his hands many times, including when he was mentioned about his appointment as director of a mining company in South Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, confirmed several things to Bahruddin. Among them are related to his appointment as director of the mining business by related parties in this case.

"He was present and confirmed, among others, related to the appointment of the witness as one of the directors of a mining company by the parties related to this case," said Ali in his written statement.

However, Ali did not specify who appointed Bahruddin as director.

Previously, Mardani Maming was said to have received Rp 89 billion in money in a trial for alleged bribery for a mining business license (IUP) in Tanah Bumbu Regency which was held at the Tipikor Court, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

This allegation was conveyed by the younger brother of former President Director of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN) Henry Soetio, Christian Soetio. At that time, Christian claimed to know that there was a flow of funds to the former Regent of Tanah Bumbu Mardani H Maming through PT Permata Abadi Raya (PAR) and PT Trans Surya Perkasa (TSP).
