Marullah Matali's Explanation Regarding The Inauguration Of The Acting Regional Secretary Of DKI Jakarta Is Canceled

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Marullah Matali admitted that he did not coordinate with related parties regarding his return from the Holy Land, causing a polemic to cancel the inauguration of an echelon one official to temporarily replace him.

"I just reported my return after arriving in Jakarta. Because I didn't coordinate first, it turns out that I'm back to being active on the same day as the plan for the inauguration of the acting regional secretary," Marullah said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, July 19.

The echelon I official admitted to hastening his return to the country from the original schedule on August 5, 2022 after carrying out his duties as a Regional Hajj Officer in the Holy Land of Mecca.

Previously, the Jakarta Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) released a chronology of Marullah Matali's assignment to the Holy Land until the cancellation of the inauguration of the acting regional secretary.

Marullah explained that he was assigned as a Regional Hajj Officer according to a schedule for 37 days from June 16 to August 5, 2022.

The assignment is through the Decree of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Number 552 of 2022 concerning Regional Hajj Officers of 1443 Hijriah/2022 AD.

The Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Maria Qibtya then sent a Memorandum of Service to the Governor of DKI Jakarta on June 17, 2002 regarding the follow-up to the request for permission for the Regional Secretary to carry out his duties as a Regional Hajj Officer.

Furthermore, DKI Governor Anies Baswedan issued an Assignment Order to Government Assistant Sigit Wijatmoko to carry out his duties as Daily Executor (Plh) of DKI Regional Secretary starting June 17, 2022.

Referring to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 3 of 2018 concerning Acting Regional Secretaries, Regional Secretaries who get an assignment and result in not being able to carry out their duties and functions for a minimum of 15 working days and less than six months, the governor appoints the Acting Regional Secretary.

The acting Regional Secretary is to carry out the duties of the Regional Secretary after obtaining the approval of the Minister of Home Affairs because Marullah Matali is on duty in the Holy Land according to the schedule for 37 days.

The Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan then wrote to the Minister of Home Affairs Number 344/OT.01 on 28 June 2022 regarding the Application for Approval for the Acting Regional Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Province.

Then, the Ministry of Home Affairs gave approval for the appointment of the Acting Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Province through the Letter of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 821/4089/SJ on July 14, 2022.

The DKI Provincial Government then distributed an agenda for the inauguration of the acting regional secretary on Monday (18/7) at 13.30 WIB at the Jakarta City Hall.

However, the Regional Secretary Marullah has returned to Jakarta early so that starting from July 18 2022, Marullah Matali has carried out his duties again.
