Jasa Raharja Ensures Compensation For Pertamina Truck Accident Victims In Cibubur

JAKARTA - Jasa Raharja's President Director Rivan Achmad Purwantoro said that the victims of the deadly accident in Cibubur, Bekasi, West Java were confirmed to receive Jasa Raharja's compensation immediately.

"The raharja service ensures that of all the victims, 10 who died and five are being treated, all of them will receive compensation," said Rivan, Tuesday, July 19.

Rivan stated that his party is currently waiting for the identification process carried out by the Police Hospital.

"We hope that after identification, in less than 24 hours we will hand over compensation to all victims or victims' families, or their heirs," he said.

"Currently, data collection is being carried out, identification first," he added.

The Director of Law Enforcement (Dirgakum) of the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police, Brigadier General Aan Suhanan, said there were 10 deaths and five people injured in the accident.

"There are 10 victims who died. This is currently 10. There are nine at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital and one in Permata Cibubur. There are five injured," said Aan at the Police Hospital.

Aan added that the five victims suffered minor injuries. "The average wound is minor. Hopefully it will heal quickly," said Aan.

The truck carrying fuel oil (BBM) hit a number of motorcycles and cars on Jalan Alternative Transyogie, Monday, July 18, yesterday afternoon.

In a video circulating on social media, Pertamina's truck can be seen stopping on the side of the road. A number of motorbikes were lying in a damaged condition under and around the truck.

Previously, the Forensic Team of the Kramat Jati Police Hospital had identified the bodies of three victims of the deadly accident on the Transyogi Cibubur Alternative Highway, Jatirangga Village, Jatisampurna District, Bekasi.

The three bodies that have been identified are Suparno (51), Priyastini (50) and Ardi Nurcahyanto (23). All three have been brought by the family from the RSCM funeral home to their respective homes.

Head of Sub-Directorate of DVI Polri AKBP Nugroho Lelono said the forensic team tasked with identifying the victims of the accident numbered dozens of people.

"There are 50 people combined from the National Police Health Center and the Police Hospital," he told reporters, Tuesday, July 19, early in the morning.
