Pertamina Tank Truck Driver And Kernet Perform Urine Test Before Undertaking Inspection At The Bekasi City Police Station

BEKASI - Bekasi City Metro Police are still investigating the cause of the Pertamina fuel tanker truck accident that killed 10 people at Raya Alternative Transyogi Cibubur, in front of the CBD, RT 01/01, Jatirangga, Jatisampurna, Bekasi, Monday, July 18, afternoon.

Head of Traffic at the Bekasi Metro Police, AKBP Agung Pitoyo, said that before checking further his party had conducted a urine test on the truck driver.

"The driver first. Last night we had a urine test, it was negative. For kernet, as soon as possible (urine test),” said Agung when confirmed, Tuesday, July 19.

Agung explained that after they had done a urine test, his party would check the driver and the assistant. It aims to reveal the case of the accident that killed 10 people.

"After (the urine test), we will immediately check. (If) the causes of the accident are many factors, it can be from human error, it can be from road construction, it can be from the vehicle. But for the time being, it cannot be published because it is still in the process of being examined,” he explained.

Agung also said that his party would later return to the crime scene (TKP). The goal is to ascertain the cause of the deadly accident.

"Later we will come there, we will re-check, for the barbuk (evidence) is already here. To convince again (cause of the accident-ed)," he concluded.

The accident involving a Pertamina truck with other drivers killed 10 people on Alternative Highway Cibubur, Transyogi Cibubur, in front of the CBD, RT 01/01, Jatirangga, Jatisampurna, Bekasi, Monday, July 18, in the afternoon.

The driver and assistant of the Pertamina fuel tanker truck were detained at the Jatisampurna Police, but have now been handed over to the Bekasi City Metro Police.

“Driver and assistant. It has been delivered to the police station, (July 18) at 22.30 WIB," said Dirga to VOI, Tuesday, July 19.
