JAKARTA - Candidate for Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, asked a question about efforts to increase the regional revenue (PAD) of Solo in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The challenger from the independent path, Bagyo Wahyono, answered Gibran's question with a tourism program.

"What programs will you offer later so that PAD can increase during the pandemic, thank you," said Gibran in the Solo Pilkada debate broadcast by KPU Solo in collaboration with Metro TV, Friday, November 6.

In the Solo Pilkada debate which was also hosted by Metro TV presenter Eva Wondo, Bagyo Wahyono, who was paired with FX Supardjo in the Solo Pilkada, talked about tourism programs and traditional markets.

"Regarding tourism, we have to start rehab again, such as, nuwun sewu, parents' entertainment, puppet ketoprak, keroncong to improve one of the tourism assets, including going to the batik industry to culinary industry. Particularly to improve things that are PAD in nature, one of which is to awaken…, ”said Bagyo, reminded by the moderator, Eva Wondo, that her speaking time has run out.

From the independent candidate, vice mayor candidate for Solo, FX Supardjo, asked Gibran Rakabuming Raka-Teguh Prakosa in return. Supardjo asked about the congestion management program in Solo City when the floods hit.

"For the problem of congestion, we will see first, where are the congestion points, the traffic congestion points. If I see that now the most densely populated area is in the western city, but I am sure that when the Purwosari flyover opens, the traffic jams in the western city will unravel on its own, "said Gibran.

But the son of President Joko Widodo warned that there was one homework that had to be done.

"There is only one homework left, Joglo (Banjarsari, red) because there are railroads and provincial roads. We are reviewing the solution, maybe it could be the elevation of the rail or flyover, Sir. Just pray for the Joglo to run smoothly and no more traffic jams, Sir, "said Gibran calmly.
