Deputy Chief Of Police Affirms Investigation During Response To Urge To Dismiss Inspector General Ferdy Sambo: Everything Is In Process

JAKARTA - The case of the death of Brigadier J alias Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat has led to pressure from various parties to temporarily disable Inspector General Ferdy Sambo from the position of Head of the Propam Division. The police confirmed that they are still waiting for the results of the investigation carried out by a special team.

"We are all in the process, so I ask my friends to wait," said Deputy Chief of National Police Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono to reporters at the Komnas HAM building, Friday, July 15.

The pressure arose because the location of the death of Brigadier J, who was said to have been shot by Bharada RE, was a shelter for Ferdy Sambo.

The step of deactivating the two-star general was urged by many parties to be free from intervention in the investigation and investigation process.

The Deputy Chief of Police said that currently the special team formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is still working. So, there has been no decision regarding the step of disabling Ferdy Sambo.

The special team is also looking for evidence and clues to get a common thread from the real sequence behind the death of Brigadier J.

"What investigators do is to take statements from existing witnesses," said Gatot.

Previously, the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, had answered the urge. Sigit said he did not want to rush into a decision to deactivate the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Of course, for the same reason, the team he formed is still working to investigate the case.

"Of course we must not rush, and rest assured the joint team is a professional team," said Sigit

The Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, was in the spotlight following the death of Brigadier J due to a shootout with Bharada RE.

In fact, IPW asked the National Police Chief to temporarily suspend Ferdy Sambo from his position. This was done to find a bright spot regarding the death of Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat (Brigadir J) at Ferdy Sambo's halfway house.
