The Prosecutor's Office Executes The Assets Of Jiwasraya Corruption Convict Benny Tjokro From The House In Patra Kuningan To Land In Menteng

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office and the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) have executed a number of assets belonging to the convicted criminal act of corruption PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Benny Tjokrosaputro.

"The implementation of the confiscation of executions is based on the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 2937 K/PID.SUS/2021 dated August 24, 2021," said Kasipenkum of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, Ashari Syam, to reporters quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 13.

Ashari said the prosecutor confiscated a number of Benny Tjokrosaputro's assets as additional punishment in the form of replacement money.

The Prosecutor's Office confiscated Benny Tjokrosaputro's assets in the form of a 1,108 square meter house in the Patra Kuningan area with Ownership Certificate Number: 371 issued on December 12, 2007 by the South Jakarta Municipal Land Office.

In addition, said Ashari, investigators also executed the land and building of Benny Tjokrosaputro, which is located at Jalan Pandeglang Number 41, Menteng Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta.

"Furthermore, the evidence that was confiscated will be followed up in accordance with applicable regulations," said Ashari.

It is known, the big corruption case is estimated to have cost the state finances up to Rp. 16,807 trillion. The convicts in this case are the President Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera, Heru Hidayat.

Then, the convict Benny Tjokrosaputro who was sentenced to life in prison after the judge of the Supreme Court (MA) rejected the appeal filed by the prosecutor and Benny.

Then, the Director of PT Maxima Integra, Joko Hartono Tirto was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Head of the Investment and Finance Division of PT AJS Syahmirwan was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Furthermore, former Director of PT AJS Hendrisman Rahim and former Director of Finance of PT AJS Hary Prasetyo who have been executed to the Salemba Rutan.
