Solo City Government Land 'Bong Mojo' Sold For IDR 8-10 Million For Settlements, Gibran Rakabuming Furious: We've Got 2 Names

SOLO - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka is furious with the actions of those who sell land belonging to the City Government to the public. In fact, this land has been prepared for the construction of the Furniture Market, which used to be in the Gilingan area.

"We'll follow up later. We've got two names selling and buying there. Wes will be taken care of later," said Gibran when he was met by the media crew at Solo City Hall, as shown on Youtube footage from @berita surakarta, Wednesday, July 13.

The land being traded is the former Chinese grave or Bong Mojo, RW 23 Jebres. This land was built by residents for settlement. Gibran added that land is traded at various prices, starting from Rp. 8-10 million per plot.

For residents who have already bought the land, Gibran has given orders to the local lurah or sub-district to remind them.

"This land belongs to the government. So you can't just build a permanent building there," said the eldest son of President Joko Widodo.

Regarding reports to the authorities, Gibran has not yet given a firm answer. Currently, his party is still collecting evidence in the form of receipts for the purchase of land and so on.

Separately, the Head of Jebres Lanang Aji Laksito when contacted by the media confirmed that the land in the former tomb belongs to the government. As for the serial number or how large the government has, he doesn't know exactly.

"It belongs to the government, but I don't remember the serial number, the certificate. The point is that it belongs to the government. Yesterday we had a meeting, we talked about the arrangement and so on. It means that it has been followed up,"

"There were our residents who reported that they were offered land there. Then I said it was land belonging to the City Government, don't pay attention, if you are desperate, you are at your own risk," he said.
