One Car In Lombok Accident, Three Dead And One Seriously Injured

SELONG - Three residents of Sembalun Village, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara died in a single minibus car accident on the Pusuk Sembalun route, Wednesday July 13 at around 11.00 WITA. The three victims, namely, Saharuddin (48), Sahmini (70) and Inara (4). The three were residents of Dasan Tengak Timuk, Sembalun Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency. Meanwhile, five other friends of the victim suffered serious injuries. The victim has been taken to the Puskesmas for intensive treatment. The head of the Sembalun Police, AKP Lalu Pancawarsa, when confirmed, confirmed that an Avanza minibus had an accident that fell into a ravine, on a public road majoring in Pusuk Sembalun. "In this incident, three car passengers died. on the spot and five people were seriously injured," he said as quoted by Antara. Pance said that the Avanza car driven by Saharudin came from the Sembalun direction to the Suela area. Arriving at the scene of the descent, it was suspected that the brakes failed, the victim was unable to control the vehicle and the car he was traveling in fell into a 20 meter deep ravine. As a result of the accident, there were eight passengers. Three people died and five people were injured. When the incident occurred, residents who saw the incident immediately provided assistance, including rescuing the survivors. Residents were immediately evacuated and rushed to the Puskesmas for intensive assistance.

Regarding this accident, according to Pance, as soon as he received the report, he and his members immediately rushed to the scene, and the case is now being handled by the East Lombok Police Traffic Unit. This often happens, so it is suggested to the government or related agencies to build a guardrail on the route, in order to minimize the occurrence of similar cases.
