JAYAPURA - The Papuan Police have again sent members of the Indonesian Mobile Brigade (Brimob) to Kobakma, Central Mamberamo Regency, to deal with the blockade in the area.

"Indeed, there have been additional personnel to Kobakma up to three companies of Brimob that have been dispatched since Monday (11/7)," said Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri in Jayapura as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 12.

He explained that apart from Brimob personnel, four main Papuan Police officers, led by Kombes Alfred Papare, had been dispatched considering that since Friday (8/7) there had been reports of demonstrations and impediments.

Even the Mamberamo Central Police Headquarters in Kobakma were barred. Therefore, the addition of Brimob personnel is expected to provide a sense of security to the community.

Inspector General Fakhiri said the legal process and the determination of the suspect carried out by the KPK had nothing to do with the legal process carried out by the Papuan Police.

The problem of law enforcement is requested not to be brought into the realm of politics. The reason is that what is being done is in accordance with the mechanism that applies in law enforcement agencies, be it the KPK, the Police or the Prosecutor's Office.

"There is no law enforcement that plays practical politics, so please respect it," hoped Inspector General Fakhiri.

Meanwhile, Head of Health Office of Mamberamo Tengah Hilda Wally separately admitted that most of the medical personnel, especially those assigned to the Kobakma Health Center and Lukas Enembe Hospital, had fled to Wamena.

Currently, health services are only served by paramedics from the mountains because they choose to evacuate to avoid unwanted things from happening.

Meanwhile services at eight health centers are still being served, said Hilda Wally, who admitted that she had also evacuated since Saturday (9/7).
