Attorney General Suspends Febrie Adriansyah

JAKARTA - Attorney General ST Burhanuddin temporarily dismissed the status of prosecutor from the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah, a suspect in the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU).

"Yes, currently Mr. FA (Febrie Adriansyah) has been suspended while awaiting a decision with the force of a permanent orinkracht. Jaksa Agung who dismissed," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 4.

He said that this temporary dismissal was because Febrie was named a suspect in the alleged TPPU case. The case is currently being handled by the Attorney General's Investigation Team or the so-called Team 9.

"The mechanism for the report from Team 9 about the person concerned as a suspect," he said.

He also said that this temporary termination was effective July 31, 2026.

Previously, on July 11, 2026, the Attorney General received a resignation letter from Febrie Adriansyah from his position as Jampidsus. This decision was taken as a form of commitment to maintain the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of the law enforcement process.

In addition, Febrie's resignation at that time was also related to the legal process of the alleged corruption case which was transferred from the National Police to the Attorney General's Office.

It is known that the Attorney General's Investigation Team (Team 9) has named Febrie Adriansyah and the private party Nurman Herin as suspects in the alleged TPPU case with the original crime of corruption.

Meanwhile, Febrie Adriansyah's camp stated that it would file a pretrial action for the forced attempt to determine the suspect.
