ACT's Office In Bandung Has Not Yet Received A Permit To Collect Humanitarian Donations

BANDUNG - Bandung City Social Service (Dinsos) revealed that the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation has not yet obtained a permit to operate in organizing money or goods collection (PUB) or donations.

The ACT office in Bandung City is located on Jalan Lodaya, Bandung City, West Java. Previously, the Ministry of Social Affairs revoked ACT's permit regarding the alleged violation.

"So (ACT) has never done any permit processing, because the licensing requirements were regional first," said Head of Social Empowerment Division of the Bandung City Social Service Ajat Munajat in Bandung, West Java, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, July 6.

Although previously he had a permit from the Ministry of Social Affairs, according to him, PUB activities at the regional level also need to have a permit.

This is also stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Social Affairs Number 8 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of PUB and the Regional Regulation of the City of Bandung Number 5 of 2015.

Ajat said that many other social welfare institutions (LKS) in Bandung already have permits. However, since he has served in the Social Service since 2021, according to him, he has never processed permits related to ACT.

"In the city of Bandung, there are many, and they have permits. If they are licensed, they must also be surveyed again in the field," said Ajat.

Now the donation agency has officially revoked its license based on the Decree of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No.133/HUK/2022 dated July 5, 2022. The revocation of the permit was the result of an alleged violation of regulations by the foundation.
