Mahfud MD: Innalillahi, I Testify That Mr. Tjahjo Kumolo Is A Good Person

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD expressed his condolences for the death of the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPANRB) Tjahjo Kumolo.

Mahfud received news that Tjahjo died when he was on his way from Bandung to Jakarta with the Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.

"I was on a helicopter with Attorney General Bpk Burhanuddin from Bandung to Jakarta when I received news via WhatsApp that Pak Tjahjo Kumolo had died," Mahfud said as quoted from his Twitter account @mohmahfudmd on Friday, July 1.

He said Tjahjo was a good person and prayed for his colleague.

"Innalillah wa inna ilaihi raji'un. I testify that the deceased was a good person. May Allah give him heaven," said the former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK).

It was previously reported that Menpan RB Tjahjo Kumolo died at Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday afternoon, at 11.10 WIB, after undergoing intensive treatment at the hospital since mid-June.

Secretary of Menpan RB Rini Widyantini confirmed the sad news via a short message.

"The Minister (Tjahjo Kumolo) has been summoned by Allah SWT today at 11.10 WIB. We ask for prayers from you and your colleagues, may he be accepted by His side," said Rini.
