Commission III Of The DPR Approves Candidates For Supreme Court Justices And Ad Hoc Judges Corruption

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR RI approved two Supreme Court Justice Candidates and two Ad Hoc Tipikor Judge Candidates at the Supreme Court (MA) during a Plenary Meeting at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 29.

"Prospective Supreme Court Justices Dr. Nani Indrawati SH, M. Hum of the Civil Chamber, Dr. Cerah Bangun SH, MH of the Special State Administration of Taxes. Candidates for Ad Hoc Judges at the Supreme Court are Dr. Agustinus Purnomo Hadi SH, MH and H Arizon Mega Jaya," said Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR Adies Kadir while chairing the plenary meeting as reported by Antara.

He said the approval was based on the views of the factions read out by each faction group or their representatives or spokespersons. This decision was taken after conducting a series of fit and proper tests for prospective judges submitted by the Judicial Commission (KY) since Monday, 27 June.

"The House of Representatives Commission III gave approval on behalf of the Supreme Court Justice Candidates and the names of the Ad Hoc Corruption Judge Candidates at the Supreme Court in 2021-2022," he said.

Adies explained that the results of the plenary session will be ratified at the DPR RI Plenary Meeting on Thursday, June 20 to be processed according to the prevailing laws and regulations.

Previously, 11 candidates for Supreme Court justices took part in the fit and proper test, namely Abdul Hakim, Triyono Martanto, Subiharta, Suradi, Wilem Saija, Sudharmawatiningsih, Nani Indrawati, Cerah Bangun. Meanwhile, the three candidates for ad hoc judges for the crime of corruption at the Supreme Court are Agustinus Purnomo Hadi, Arizon Mega Jaya, and Rodjai S Irawan.
