Iriana's Mother Hugs For Victims Of The Ukraine - Russia War At Kyiv . Hospital

JAKARTA - One of the agendas of President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana is to visit a hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine. Iriana hugged one of the war victims there.

This moment was directly shared by Jokowi on his Twitter account. In a blue shirt and wearing a mask, Iriana was seen hugging a woman, Wednesday 29 June.

It is not clear who the woman being hugged was. But it was clear that her eyes were puffy when she hugged the first lady.

However, this hospital is dedicated to treating war victims.

"On that occasion, the First Lady symbolically handed over humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian Center for Endocrine Science and Surgery, Organ Transplantation and Endocrine Tissue," Jokowi wrote.

"The Indonesian government has also provided assistance through the Ukrainian Red Cross and commitments for reconstruction assistance for war-damaged hospitals," Jokowi continued.

First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo hopes that the war will end in Ukraine soon, because she gets goosebumps seeing the conditions that have occurred in the country due to the Russian invasion.

The visit to one of the medical centers was carried out by a limited group of President Jokowi, after the Lipky Apartment Complex in Irpin City.

"Earlier, Mr. Jokowi and I helped a little for hospitals that were victims of the war," said First Lady Iriana after handing over the aid, quoted from the Website of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Wednesday, June 29.

Asked about her impression of accompanying President Jokowi on a visit to Ukraine, in the midst of the ongoing war with Russia, the First Lady hoped that the war would end soon.
