JAKARTA - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) together with the local government and relevant ministries/institutions are preparing various job training for the community so that they can participate in various development activities at Nusantara Capital.

“Training starts on July 4, 2022. We are working with various parties such as the Samarinda Job Training Center (BLK), Sepaku District, the Industry Service, as well as the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR)," said the Head of Social Coordination and Community Empowerment of the IKN Transition Team Diani Sadiawati on Monday, June 28, as quoted from Antara.

What will soon be held is training for excavator operators, and dump truck operators, as well as training to become a barista, bakery (baking bread) and cakes, tailor (sewing), screen printing, and painter (painting).

Acting Head of the Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP) Samarinda Amran said the training will be held in Sepaku District with 60 participants, namely 45 people from 4 urban villages and 11 villages in Sepaku District and 15 people from the Bumi Harapan Village area, Sepaku District.

In the first batch of training on July 4, BLK Samarinda was the organizer in collaboration with PT Propan.

Furthermore, OIKN will also coordinate training and programs in line with the development process for the Capital of the Nusantara, one of which, the Ministry of PUPR has prepared a plan for debriefing and testing for artisan certification.

The certification is for plastering skills for building builders, bricklaying skills, carpenters, concrete ironsmiths, lightweight steel roof truss installers, and training for building information modeling (BIM) instructors.
