Responding to the demonstration, the Executive Director of the Research Oriented Development Analysis (RODA) Institute, Ahmad Rijal Ilyas, assessed that the emergence of the attack aimed at Suharso Monoarfa was a political effort to weaken PPP. It was widely reported that several PPP cadres contra Suharso gave open support to figures from outside KIB as Bacapres in the mass media. ," he said.

According to Rijal, this attack is a step to weaken the PPP, especially KIB in the 2024 general election (Pemilu).

"The big goal is to weaken KIB's position in the 2024 election contestation arena. On the other hand, KIB is committed to recruiting internal figures as candidates for the presidential election in 2024," said Rijal.

Previously, PPP DPP Chair Syarifah Amelia said PPP General Chair Suharso Monoarfa remained confident of running as a presidential candidate in the 2024 Election.
