Reminds World Leaders, British PM Boris Johnson: The Price Of Russia's Victory In Ukraine Is Much Higher

JAKARTA - Not only must world leaders realize that the costs of supporting Ukraine, including the surge in energy and food costs, will be enormous.

But they must also understand that the price paid by allowing Russia to win will be much higher.

So said British Prime Minister Boris Johnson while speaking at the start of the Group of Seven summit on Sunday, June 26.

Johnson stressed that the West needs to maintain its unity in the face of Moscow's aggression in Ukraine.

"To protect that union, to make it work, you have to have a really honest discussion about the implications of what happened, the pressure that friends and individual partners feel," he told reporters.

"But the price of giving up, the price of letting (Russian President Vladimir) Putin win, of occupying large parts of Ukraine, of continuing the program of conquest, then the price will be much, much higher. Everyone here must be aware of that." .
