Investigating Allegations Of Corruption In LNG Purchase, 4 Pertamina Employees Abstain From KPK Calls

JAKARTA - Acting (Plt) Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the Enforcement Sector, Ali Fikri, said that four employees of PT Pertamina were not present when their statement was needed regarding the alleged corruption case in the purchase of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The names of four employees who were not present when questioned by the KPK were Farizka Ariesta, Rosalinda Sri Widyastuty, Rina Kartika Sari and Taufiq Pelita Buana.

"The witnesses were not present," said Ali Fikri in his statement, Sunday, June 26.

Ali said the KPK investigators would reschedule the four witnesses.

This is done to uncover the alleged corruption.

"(There will be) rescheduling by the Investigation Team," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) immediately announced the suspects in the alleged corruption case in the purchase of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from PT Pertamina (Persero).

This announcement was made after the case was raised to the level of investigation.

"The announcements of the parties who have been named as suspects, the chronology of the alleged acts of corruption committed and the articles that are suspected will be conveyed when attempts are made to force arrests and detentions," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, June 23. .

Ali said that the alleged corruption that occurred around 2011-2021 was investigated after finding evidence.

Even so, the process of proving this imprecise practice continues.

A number of witnesses, continued Ali, will soon be summoned to strengthen the evidence that the KPK already has. They were asked to cooperate.

"The collection of evidence by the investigative team continues to be carried out by scheduling the summoning of witnesses to make clear the alleged corruption," he said.

The public is asked to be patient and continue to monitor the process of handling the alleged corruption.
