Target Of COVID-19 Vaccination Doses 1 And 2 In 13 Provinces Fulfilled, Jakarta Achievements Reach 100 Percent

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Mohammad Syahril, reported that as many as 13 provinces in Indonesia had met the target of 70 percent of the complete dose of COVID-19 vaccination.

"Today, as many as 13 out of 34 provinces achieved 70 percent of the second dose (complete dose). Eight other provinces have the complete dose for the elderly and two provinces have achieved 50 percent of the booster vaccination (third dose)", said Mohammad Syahril when delivering a virtual press statement followed by Zoom in Jakarta, Friday, June 24 afternoon.

A total of 13 provinces achieved 70 percent of complete dose vaccination, namely DKI Jakarta (114.27 percent), Bali (96.54 percent), DI Yogyakarta (94.39 percent), Riau Islands (84.73 percent), East Kalimantan (78.76 percent), West Nusa Tenggara (74.49 percent), Central Java (74.41 percent).

Furthermore, Central Kalimantan (74.04 percent), West Java (73.81 percent), Bangka Belitung Islands (73.70 percent), East Java (72.28 percent), and North Sumatra (72.01 percent), and Kalimantan North (71.26 percent).

For the achievement of 70 percent complete dose for the elderly, namely DKI Jakarta (96.15 percent), West Java (82.37 percent), West Sumatra (79.07 percent), DI Yogyakarta (76.83 percent), Bali (75.81 percent). percent), North Sumatra (72.46 percent), Riau Islands (71.73 percent), and Banten (71.26 percent).

Meanwhile, two provinces with 50 percent booster vaccination achievement, namely Bali (64.55 percent) and DKI Jakarta (54.17 percent).

Syahril said Indonesia was also pursuing the target of achieving the vaccination program target for children over the age of 6 as many as 234,666,020 people. "The achievement of dose 1 is 85.78 percent, dose 2 is 71.89 percent, and booster is 27.38 percent", he said.

Syahril said the World Health Organization (WHO) is targeting all countries in the world to reach 70 percent of complete dose vaccinations by June 2022.
